Literacy & High School Equivalency

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
OCM BOCES offers flexible programming to meet a variety of literacy needs in the community. The Adult Education Literacy programs are for those over 21 years of age. Students are assessed and counseled into the most appropriate program option to assure success.

New York state has a new high school equivalency exam:

As of December 31, 2021 the GED® had replaced the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) as the test used in New York State to earn a high school equivalency diploma.

GED® uses the same format as the TASC.

What does this mean for you?
We can help!

We offer daytime and evening classes to suit your schedule.

Study at Home (Distance Learning) programs are available for those unable to attend regular classes.

Classes are FREE for those without a high school diploma or equivalency diploma.
